Hi @MrMunchies! A good defoliation is a slight defoliaiton, removing too many leaves at a time lead to stress & will stunt the growth. I usually recommend to start by 2~4 leaves per stem each week and see how the plant responds. If you select carefully the leaves that are creating shades and the ones that are essential to the plant and do it step by step, your defoliation will be a success and will increase your final yield. Hello ! Their is no ideal amount of defoliation , some hardore mainliners are always cutting leaves before flowering to train their cannopy. In flowering it is different , don't defoliate exept if you really need to cut one leaf or 2 to get a better light penetration. In your case you can defoliate the whole plant if you gonna harvest her soon ( wet trimming) to get less trimm to remove after drying ( dry trimming). I hope it will help you 😁👍
