Why are my seedlings dying?

I have 5 plants that died in a very similar way, I was moving them every morning and afternoon looking for the sun, might this have killed them? looks like the stem is broken. I also added root nutrients on the second day, might this have burnt them? maybe overwatering?

They likely died from damping off. Little cinnamon sprinkled around the plant and water in once to avoid getting it in the future. It's common to happen to seedlings.
