You can use twist/garden ties, something hopefully with a softer plastic. If you just have wire you can always cut a straw and use it as tubing for the wire too. Just remember the point of LST is to manage the height of your plant, maintain an even canopy, as well as expose your lower growth sites to light as your new growth shades it out. As your plant matures obviously the stalk with become more rigid meaning you’ll have to bend the stalk at a higher point from the soil. You can start your LST now, but it will be minimal. You’ll just really need to bend the main to one side of the pot and tie it. It’ll firm up in that shape and you can continue to tie it down as she grows. No harm if you wait a bit too as you’ll probably end up cropping that lower growth in the end anyways. If you see the 4th/6th week of my diary you can see how tall my plants were when I started LST. Happy growing

Hi there! For LSTt anything that keeps the stems secured in place will do. I use those copper electric wires 'cos i have them at hand. You can use any wire/string that is not too thin so it will grow inside the stems. At that point I would not do LST yet. I would maybe wait for 6-8 nodes to grow before bending it down to make all the lower branches new tops!

Some garden ties. The rubber coated work best. And some ground staples or safety pins to attach them to soil or fabric pots. It's the perfect time to start your lst. Just make sure you also attach an anchor on the opposite side of your bend so you don't put stress on the root system. Hopefully this helps. Happy Growing. 🤟😜
