Go with smaller pots for autos. they'll never use the entire thing and it just wastes medium and space.

Ten gallon pots? 48 sq feet? Five or six if you grow like we do, hydro coco DtW , so it really depends as we have to allow the following: 3 gallon 4 sq ft 5 gallon 6 sq ft 7 gallon 7+ sq ft' - four fills the 5x5 I would have to say 10 gallon at 9 sq ft' so you dont get into difficulties (270 sq cm) and thats roughly a 3'x3' area For what its worth
