You have done it late, and that's not a problem. I presume these are clones as their branching isn't symmetrical which makes topping a little trickier. I would have gone a node lower and probably 2 weeks before you, to allow time to train the new branches out and create a flat plant surface, that is the goal.

Check out my topping in week 3 or 4 of my unfinished journal. You are supposed to keep the offshoots.

Looks good... the plant is growing a little strange though, it looks like you're missing a shoot on one side. Did it originally open up with 3 leaves instead of 2? Looks like perhaps you have more of a triangular formation...

You did it way too late and... I don't think you left a growth tip at the top, just a single fan leaf..? If that is a single growth tip from that asymmetrical node.. no, you did not do it right. You just removed a single growth tip (the top of the plant) and replaced it with a single growth tip (at the top most asymmetrical node). That will only stunt the plant. Sorry, not sure what else to say.
