does anyone have any idea what it is? it is not powdery mildew, it does not come off to the touch. on the contrary, they are hard and not removable. there should also be no triphids as the bites are not uniform. could they be exuded salt deposits?

Difficulty identifying leaf problem - maybe it's insects?
I'm having trouble figuring out what's going on with my plant. The cotyledons and lower fan leaves are getting irregular shiny patches varying in size underneath, with yellow spots directly above them on the top side. It's really hard to photograph the shiny patches. Thrips?
