Hey buddies, I'm going to do Scrog, with defoliation and apical pruning. What's the optimal distance to place the scrog net? I read that it's 30cm, is that correct?? When is the best time to do defoliation?

Hi mate, where to put scrog is completely up to you and your grow space. There is no set distance. Only defoliate what you need to, fan leaves causing shade for example. The more you remove the less energy the plant has to convert to fat buds. The only time i think you should defoliate is third week of flower times. open up the space between buds so air travel freely...Hope this helps...good luck

This is my first grow, I am on day 27 of flower and don’t want to over-defoliate. Do I continue to remove larger leaves as they come through the net or stop removing foliage entirely? PT is short, and wide should I remove lower bud sites? Used some lowers as clones but lots left.7y ago

Defoliation in SCRoG - Leave it or do it?Tomorrow will be day 21 of 12/12. I am of the opinion of letting the plant canabilise itself for nutes that are stored for exactly what it needs, when it needs *which it is doing on the low/no light leaves but what are other peoples opinions/experience. Canopy is as healthy as!Leaves. Dropping off

SCROG in 2.5 weeks Flower - Thin out the canopy or not?Its my first SCROG grow. I am 19 days into flower and there is still a tiny bit of stretch still.
Should I thin out the canopy or leave it alone and let it finish as-is? I don't want to stunt their bud development.
What do you think, are they too crowded?

Have I LST'd right?I have tried LSTing and tied down the stem to the pot. I also have a scrog net to help with pushing some of the leaves down and I have tucked them. Does this look right?
I feel like I need to also remove some leaves to help but don't want to damage it as its an auto. thanks

Currently In Week 8 of Veg in ScrOG Setup - When Should I Flip to Flower?I started a Scrog set up and believe I am in final stages to flip to flower. Let me know if I should flip now? I am afraid of overfilling and suffocating growing buds. Do I need to do some defoliation prior to the flip, or wait until a few weeks into flower? See Wk 8 Veg

When do I start with the ScrOG and at what height should one set the net ?

Flower trimmingI've got several lower branches that aren't stretching high enough to get any good light, at what point during flower is it ok to get out the scissors? I think I might need to do a lil leaf trimming in the lower canopy as well. Could/should this be done at the same time? Thanks

Defoliation for better ventilation?Should I defoliate/prune to ensure better ventilation? I am going to flip the plant soon. It is quite bushy with big leaves and sometimes it is difficult to water it as there are a lot of leaves down there.
And when is it better to put the net? Before of after the flip?
