Yes, I have seen this before and it will not affect your plants growth or development.
The cotyledons only function is to protect the growing tip from damage as it pushes through the soil to the surface.
It is only the serrated true leaves that you have to be watchful about.

Nutrient lock out hot soil question - stunting starts on 3rd set of leaves always?I noticed that they always deteriorate when the third set of leaves are forming. Strange leaves on this baby lemonAny thoughts on whats going on with these leaves? My upper leaves? Is this light scald? Or a nutrient imbalance? This has been coming on over the last week. The older shaded fan leaves appear healthy. Also the one bud on the far leftside, furthest from the light is less affected. Her tent mate gets the same light and nutrients.馃槙Week 10
