Cooler nights for indoor grows

Lew420
Lew420started grow question 3 years ago
It’s common knowledge that colourful strains develop fullest colours when subject to drastic temperature changes during flowering. My question is this.... If I want to help drop the temperature more at night would it work to use ice packs from a cool box near my fan?

Your gonna need an ice berg! Get a swamp cooler or a mini A/C! Also 61’63’ is the sweet spot! Some plants and phenols don’t change color though, keep that in mind! It’s basically a Phenotypic expression that brings on beautiful colors!

No, not really, you need a 10-15 degree Celsius temp difference between night and day temps, which is not something you can achieve with ice packs.

You can also introduce ice water to the roots. That will also bring out colors as well. Just start doing it in the finale flowering weeks just so you don't stress the plant out too much.
