How do you define "best"? If it is the fastest from seed to harvest then hydro is probably the best. But, if you want the best flavor I think growing in soil is the best.

Outdoors in organic soil is the ONLY way in my opinion. Otherwise it just ain't real! Hydro may be great if you want "product", but if you are a cannaseur.......... sunshine and soil.

With proper ph, ec, oxygen and temperature control of your water, it is the fastest way to grow possible. Plants recover very quickly if a mistake was made, then corrected., or they can go bad very quickly if not corrected. You will also benefit from some nice big flowers if your running good lighting. Hydroponics, whether it be in water or soilless, you are in complete control of your babies. If things go bad, it's because that person never knew what they were doing. It can be very unforgiving for novice growers with no knowledge of ec and ph. Also clear nutrients is best to keep your roots nice and white instead of stained brown.

It's better because the roots get more oxygen and space to move around. You feed them exactly what they need and they absorb it almost instantly. It's consistent, especially if you grow clones from the same strain. You can perfect the nutrients after a couple of grows.
