No, it is just new, normal, vegative growth. Yes, autos pre flower, just the need for a change in lighting is not required, hence "auto flowering". Look for small calyxes with protruding white pistils growing from the nodes, this will indicate "pre flower" or "sexual differentation". If you are keen, I have posted pictures of both male and female pre flowers in week 7 of my diary "cannabis conundrums", as well as many other pictures of weird and wonderful things cannabis is capable of! Hope this helps, Organoman.

“Pre-flower” has always been a debatable term to me. What is preflower? Can anyone answer that with certainty? It’s basically just a term ppl use for the transition it seems.. Some ppl call seeing the pistils/stigmas on autos preflower. Some ppl call the time from then til calyx stacking preflower. Some ppl call it the time before flowering starts at all.. it’s whatever you want it to be but I see no pistils or signs of sex. Looks like a regular new growth.

@clueless_smoker Hi there mate they are NOT preflowers just new sets of leaves developing , Preflowers are basically just white pistils that look a lot like tiny fine white hairs that will pop up as soon as the plant becomes physically mature . Autos do the same as photo period plants just maybe a little quicker You will notice once it has started to flower by the extended nodes and like I said white hairs (pistils) appearing . Good luck Mate I will follow along and watch 👊

No, you will still see loads of hairs appearing aka preflower, just when no light switch it's very plant dependable, but most do blast off on second week of flower. I hated autos, now I love them ;) All the Best !

Autos will show sex or preflower then go into flower like a Photoperiod would. it just not controlled by the light cycle. I don't see preflowering here. Just new shoots growing out of the nodes. Your sex will show in aorund week 4-6. It will be tiny white hairs called pistils. They will pop out at node sites normally starting from the bottom of the plant and working there way up. The odd auto sometimes does not show its sex till after a good chunk of time as passed 7+Weeks Not all autoflower operate on the same time schedule like that, can be quite unpredictable. It just the nature of the genetics, still quite new and lots of things to come out of them. Good Luck
