Accidental cloning?

I did something stupid today call it a learning curve. But I trimmed a few fan leaves to open up for flowering and wasn’t looking and cut of a bud site. I put it in some soil with some water. Will that take root? Is that an accidental cloning?

Quick and easy answer: Don't waste your time , it won't work especially from a bud site but let's say it does work you'll just have a few nugs nothing wow but yeah best of luck 👍
