What is the best (cheap) TDS meter? (Also i think they should allow longer questions because 280 characters definitely not enough to describe everything).

I use a cheap one off of amazon. Main thing I was looking for is one that show EC values as they are consistent. PPM values use EC as the base scale then convert based on a scale. Search "ec to ppm chart" and you will see a 0.5 EC could be 250-350 ppm. The other thing I was looking for was one that has a back lit display since I mix in black buckets I cant always see the value if it does not have a back light. Last thing that I did not look for but would for the next purchase is what type of battery it takes. Most cheap versions use a watch battery. Happy Growing

So i'm asking this question because a lot of people told me that it's best to measure my ppm in water. I never measured it during my (few) outdoor grows and all went smooth but i never really pushed the nutes a lot. But now i decided to buy one because it seems very cool to calculate how much you can push the nutes and find the true limit of the plant without overfeeding so thank you so much to everyone that will answer this question.
