What's this mutation and how will it effect my mainlining? Should I keep the extra growth tips above my mainline topping?

I discovered while mainlining my plants that a 3rd growth tip was coming from the previously cut-off nodes, but ONLY on the 2 main branches, a 3rd main branch never formed. It had 3 cotyledons when germinated but never formed a trifoil. It seems every other growth site has a 3rd.

Better pictures, better opinions........ Can't really see anything much to make any useful comments at the moment, unfortunately. Will look forward to an update when it comes.

I'm going to close this and repost it with better pictures once they've grown out a bit since there's no way to edit or add pictures to a question (as far as I know, sorry I'm new here!) I'm thinking I'll keep the extra top though on each side as an experiment. But basically, instead of the plant growing 2 growth tips per node, it's growing 3 with the third one alternating which side it grows out of between the already existing two.

It's hard to tell in the photo but these and 100% growth tips and not the small sacks with hairs coming out. I can get better photos once they come out a bit. If I noticed how off this was I would have taken a photo of the first extra growth tip that came out but I didn't think much of it and removed it before noticing these ones emerging today.
