Calcium or roots trouble?

Hello happy grower, New week and new trouble but on the second plant. Those brown dots appear today. Is it a cal/mag defficiency or roots trouble? I will check roots tonight. Thank you forward for your advise!

i used biotabs in straight coco with 25% perlite and i use coco in my organic mixes there is nothing wrong with coco that limits it usage in organic soil mixes and with microbes as well. biotabs is a healthy microbial innoculant by itself as well so there is that too. as for calmag in coco thats complicated as well eventhough people like to say you should add calmag to coco i’ve done pure distilled water grows with just organic ammendments added and no cal or mag issues. which by the way are two different things. and as i mentioned i actually used biotabs in pure coco with distilled water as well again with no cal or mag issues.

Thanks all, Just some more info about feed until now. I use the shedule (soon in pics on diary) for preparation soil (coco from canacoco and perlite from plagron 50% mix with 2.5cm of ball at bottom(dont remember english name). Each pot of 15l receive 2 tabs at beggining. During week 5, i giver her 500ml with bactrex and 20ml orgatrex. I remember read somewere, some people need add calmag (i have it from biogrow and think to add 0.5 with next feed of 5ml orgatrex + bactrex). I will keep you in touch later after checking roots. Thanks again

Yeah. After looking at them biotabs you really are missing the best they have to offer having them in an ineart sub. You should of added some light mix to get the most out of all the live bac in them things I know I wasted enough enzymes on coco to notice you need soil or water to have a good ground for bacteria. You can't get that with coco + perlite and drop a tab in and not reg your water and not run into issues without using a calmag. Especially where your plant is at. Its showing signs what it needs at a very crucial stage of development so, is it important to fix, well of course or y else would you be asking. So it's just going to get much worse. You need to add a calmag to coco it's a given. Good luck

OOOO after reading about what crims said I just assumed you were using soil. As the whole point of a biotab was for it to work best in soil. With coco. You have to have calmag. And you have to regulate your PH with coco you can't just not do it. It's coco.. I doubt it's root troubles in that kinda mix. But with coco calmag is a constant issue as it has a hard time holding calmag, clearly.. Good luck.

I noticed you have listed 40ml/L of Orgatrex. This seems extremely high to me. Never used the product, But when I looked at other journals the most I see people using is 5ml/l.

when did you start using biotabs because after about a month and a week i noticed yellowing and specking on the leaves indicating an overall hunger and calcium def. i’m using plain distilled water by the way and i also used 2 tabs for each 7l pot and i had to start feeding them at that point at 37-40 days. your plants look fine otherwise, you may have root issues most likely rootbound from sitting in the same pots for 6-7 weeks but they look ok overall and this really doesnt look like any calcium def i’ve seen either so gonna agree with chow on this one. automatic watering systems sometimes keep the medium too wet for healthy growth and i know people say you can not overwater in coco and 50% perlite mix but i’ve seen a couple of growers who had managed to do just that haha

Quite honestly, if this is the result of bio-tabs, who promise you don't have to do a thing - don't have to check ph, don't have to check ec - that they know better than you, I wouldn't use them if my life depended on it. I think you've got some serious PH issues and calcium is not being absorbed by your plants... so just for shits and giggles, check your PH. And to be accurate, calcium is absorbed best between 6.2 (no lower) and 7.0 (no higher). Good luck!

Okay, I think you got a few different things going on here. I really think you need to dial in your PH. I know your are using biotabs but it stays the same. Cal is taken up through a certain PH in soil. I'm not 100% on the figures I'd have to look them up but if you stay in the range of 6-6.7 you should get it under control. Your ph is playing a factor in the cal uptake. It's not that you don't have enough cal it's your PH is off that's throwing in cal off in your sub. Just try it, what can it hurt. You are using a 1 tab thing right. So think, lots of ppl use them with great success, so what are you using or doing dif then them. And it might be as simple as you tap PH been a 7+ or something. Good luck m Good luck..

Thanks for your answer, i didn't spray anythings from start of flowering and she didn't received any feed since 12-13 days. I don't measure ph and ec because it's not needed with bio tabs nutrients (just normal water in a jar with autopot watering system). But i can see a kind of roots invasion under the pot close to automatic pump.. will add a pics tonight during chech of roots.

I don't think it's roots or cal def. Its looks like over feeding. Do you spray your leaves? If they happened over night it could be light burn from droplets on the leaves when lights are on.

I see no ph or ec levels in your info. Get both those in order going into and what is in the planter and she should be ok
