My indicas are flowering much sooner than my Sativas, they've all been outdoors since May 12th, getting a weekly feed of General hydroponics Flora nova grow, indicas have been Flowering since late July and look like they're only weeks away from harvest, is it typical for indica?

It would be good to have a diary for this grow! If you're growing autoflowers, this would be expected timing - although, to ME, they don't look quite that close to harvest as they haven't even started to fade yet. If you're in a hot, muggy climate, do watch out for bud rot and/or foxtailing on these ladies as indicas are quite prone to that... Good luck - let's see a diary, please!

It depends on a few factors, honestly. Like, how big they were when you put them outside, your latitude, climate, genetics, and light cycle,to name a few. Broad leaf(indica) varieties are usually quick to finish flowering, but seem to have longer stretch periods in my experience. Narrow leaf(sativa) varieties don't have quite as long of a stretch period, but take longer to finish flowering. Once again, it depends on latitude and light cycle for the most part, along with genetics. You seem to have the favor of those three! I hope this helps. Happy harvesting!

Haha, no sativa actually start flowering earlier then indica. I do think that you have an autoflowering strain. Indicas are the faster flowering varieties and usually have a flowering time of 45 to 60 days. A major difference between indica vs sativa is that sativas take longer to flower. They will usually need between 60 and 90 days to finish blooming. However, they need less time for vegetative growth prior to flowering than Indicas do, so the overall time required for Sativas is about the same as for Indicas (and sometimes less in terms of ‘light hours’). So you might be lucky that she flowers during the hottest months and decrease your chance on budrot because this is a big concern with outdoor indica's Happy Growing! 😋
