Germination

Started germination with 2x seeds, hopefully will go smooth. Fingers crossed, excited for this second run. 31/08: Seeds are opening up, gave them both some more water so hoping the roots will be big enough soon to put into the soil + plug to get them comfy. Adding some memes otherwise GD rates my diary neutral, enjoy em. :P 31/08 evening: Seeds are put into the soil with Eazyplugs, the root is ~1-3cm deep with the little seed husk facing upwards, pushed them into the soil carefully and made sure they got some water around and laterally to the roots. Gave a small dose ~300ml of water this morning 01/09 at ~150ml each. 02/09: Germination successful, two lil weedlings poking above the soil. Will hang the rope ratchets for the light tomorrow morning and adjust. :D

Day 1 starts today, not much else to say except the living soil is amazing. Both seeds germinated and were planted within ~72hours, and popping up above the soil. Fun times :) e/o W1: No remarks, growth is strong. Paying attention to soil when watering cuz it holds water really well especially with the EazyPlugs.

End of week 2: #1 is strong, but #2 is fairly slow... I'm thinking of using some small spare pots to start a 3rd Purple Haze and 1 Jack Herer (Seperate diary) since I feel like I'm wasting light + space running 2 again. I think I'll start germinating those now since the cycle will hopefully co-inside with these current 2.

The #2(Pic 2) Pheno of my Purple Haze is a bit stunted/very slow growth into Week 2 - 3 compared to #1(Pic 1) Pheno. Is this anything to be worried about? I did germinate a #3 Pheno seed + 1x Jack as a backup in case this one doesn't make it, is there anything I can do to help it

At this stage of the growth you just need to give it some roots enhancer. You must develop a strong roots system as fast as possible in the seedling stage if you want a fast growth rate.

e/o Week 3 Pheno #1 Looks excellent and not affected by pests that much, growth is fast and healthy. Pheno #2 is struggling a bit, the root was a bit thin and unsupported but I gave it a temporary soft support with a leaf coat of BioDyne + Acti-Vera on both, and a little bit in the soil. Pheno #2 looks to be growing the leaves out greener and healthier which is a good sign of recovery. Overall looking good, I'll need to lower the light down to one meter now, which'll hopefully boost the growth and stop stretching on the other two seedlings.

Pheno #1 Purple Haze looks good, upped biodyne and added veg nutes etc. Pheno #2 Purple Haze looks okay, it's recovered since I added Acti-Vera, BioDyne and gave it a small spray. Bought yellow sticky traps as well and some support stakes for LST. 04/10: Growth looks good, mixing up new batch of nutrients today. Calcium deficiency is fixed and growth is very good.

Things are fine, going well and I see about 8-9 main colas on the first pheno, LST has done an amazing job keeping the height smaller in veg and also breaking that apical dominance. The second pheno is pulling through and doing alright, all of them got trimmed. Only watering when top soil layer is dry since the living soil and FF premium hold a LOT of water for quite a while. The molasses fixed the Ca deficiency, these nutrients have even made my garden outside recover from winter and the pest damage we've had. Definitely sticking with organic nutes.

Going well, both girls are very healthy. The issues with pests have stopped although next time I think it'll be even quicker having better genetics to grow, the molasses is helping amazing too. I mixed the same nutrient mix for my garden and everything is thriving. Including a picture of my 13+ year old mint as an example. Looking forward to smoking this stuff soon!

Going alright, accidentally fucked a node up during LST but electrical tape didn't help, one of the branches on the lower stems broke and stripped so I taped it up... These local genetics are super weak, definitely using a different seedbank + breeder next time.

Week 8 - 9 I forgot to update on so the same photo + description for both. No comments right now, buds are swelling and trichs forming, 2nd pheno is a tall beast with 13(!) + flower nodes, 3rd pheno is stunted sadly. 1st pheno seems like she matured WAY faster and flowered starting week 4-6 and just skipped the entire pre-flower stage which is understandable because I accidentally snapped a flower node off, stripped a branch etc. oh well, fuckups to learn from going forward. Also, no offense to breeders or seedbanks and I know autos have their place, but seriously, fuck autos. I'm moving to photos after this tbh, good learning experience but right now it's just a massive money drain. Autos are meant for outdoors!

great learning experience for FIM, LST and HST and how not to fuck up. Definitely not growing autos again, I'll keep the current seeds for a future run, and get bigger pots, SCROG net etc.
