I would leave it 😄 until the first 2 weeks of flowering when you start seeing bud growth start, then again 3 weeks later.
Maybe lollipop even?

Is some light defoliation required or should I let them live freely?All my plants are bushy and it's a struggle to get them all aligned so all the flowers are in the light.
I don't know if some defoliation should/can be done?
Or just leave them be and just stick with rotating them daily?
