Cure-quizzle

GreenGrinder
GreenGrinderstarted grow question a year ago
Hello, If the humidity in my jar drops below optimal cure range, will increasing the humidity restart the cure-prosses of will there be permanent damage? I think my jar went down to 45 % for like 2 days. Wondering about the impact

you won't notice a difference. it's more about storage. it slows loss of terps and thc over time -- keeping it dark while stored is actually more important to preservation. just maintaining "right" amount of moisture content in plant mass to avoid ry rot and not enough for any bacteria et al to thrive on it. unlike tobacco, i don't beleive any molecular changes are occurring.

No worries mate - no worries at all! I just found a branch of some weed I'd missed jarring up about a month ago (fell behind a box in my drying room)... as you can imagine, it was EXTRAORDINARILY dry... stuck it in a ziplock bag with a bit of bread much like you'd do to soften up rockhard brown sugar ... it rehydrated itself and was a good smoke....
