Radical - lower leaves burned, yellowing, falling

Wuesten
Wuestenstarted grow question a year ago
My radical is in flowering since 3 weeks. Her lower leaves have started yellowing with burned tips and falling of vastly in the past 3 days. It is only getting worse and I’m suspecting nitrogen excess or potassium deficency but I’m too much a nooby to be sure.

Thank you all for your replies. Yesterday morning she was dried out. I watered and feed with bloom fertilizer and added some p-k booster. Also i sprayed the leaves with cal-mag with n-p-k:2-0-0 to increase nitrogen directly. So far she still seems to deteriorate with the same speed. :(

Definitely a N-deficiency. it's one of the easiest ones to see, and without coincidingn symptoms muddying waters, you can fee confident adding a little more N to your fertilization formula. try to increase N while impacting other nutes as little as possible. rate of progression should dictate how much you react to it... if slowly progressing, make a small adjustment, then wait and see. when you are "close" it can takes weeks to see if it's too much or too little. give it time to process the new levels of N, unless the nosedive quickens.

Don't be shy, mate! Everyone has a beginning grow and most of them aren't any that will win the Cannabis Cup! There are SO many diaries here, SO many users, it's doubtful yours would draw massive attention... Use the diary as your OWN record... and be proud of what you are doing! Some folks can't even get a seed to pop let alone get it to harvest... your grow is looking very good - I screwed up my first grow to a fare-thee-well - but I'm still proud of it even though I was a total bonehead about a lot of what I was doing! :-D The fact still remains that diaries are terribly useful not only to YOU ... they help us help you if you ever need it!

Thanks a lot, i totally understand what you mean. I am in my first/second grow and a public diary was a little too embarrassing 😅 As i out in my commands i will let her get dryer to get ahold of the springtails. I know by now they are not harmful to the plant but they might increase the nitrogen a little too much for the flowering. I will follow ypur nutrient advise and will use fertilizer to increase potassium/phosphorus and add a little cal mag.

Here's the thing. All we have are pictures of what is going on. If you had a diary, it would help us tremendously in trying to help you! The causes of this are numerous - what you're asking here is a bit like showing your doctor a picture of a rash on your arm and asking what's wrong... The only thing I will say is that a pH of 7,8 is much too high and the plant can't get at some vital nutrients... get the pH down to 6,3 and keep it there... As for the nutes, you're going to have to give us some detailed information... but she looks like she needs a lot more potassium and phosphorus plus some calmag for good measure... And btw, springtails love moisture so you may be overwatering here... they're not particularly going to harm your plant but you don't want them, either... you don't want to find a lot of dead insects in your buds! Let the plants dry out completely and then you can sprinkle some diatomaceous earth on top of your soil... but don't water again for at least a day as DE is not effective at all when it gets wet. Good luck.... and start a diary!

Last time i watered i noticed a bunch of springtails. So i am planning on: - let the soil dry till plant shows first signs of thirst - flush with ph6,5 water - 2-3 days later give 30% of recom bloom fertilizer Is this a valid approach? What would you think is the issue? Thanks to all of you for your time and knowledge 🙏🙏

She is in a textile pot using soil, organic fertilizer for flowering (boom organic bloom, 0,5-0,75ml/l, water ph’ed from 7,8 to 6,8 with lemon juice), 12:12 outside/inside light schedule since 3 weeks and starting to flower. Warering every 2-3 days, fertilizers only every second week.
