What causes the leaf tips to turn yellow? I followed the gh feeding chart and she was happy but before I started the ripen solution gorilla glue leaf tip at the buds started turning yellow. Is that from the feeding chart pulling nitrogen too early?

Hey buddy, Don’t apply soil advice in Hydroponics grows ;). Your EC of 2.63 is a bit too high, that’s all I would say. Should also not pose a missive issue either. Reduce your EC a little and you should be all good. Also not sure about your fertilizer, but mine is totally fine in a range of 5.2-6.2, so your 5.8 should be alright. Plants still look amazing ;)

Organoman Hello! Thanks for the help! I was following the gh feeding chart so I didn't cut gro nutrient out until week 5. Is it normal for feeding chart to be way off?

CULTIVATORFROG Hello, and thanks for chiming in! I'm not sure where u saw Purple pistal. I'm going thru the pictures and I haven't seen that. I do have a question. Is the 6.2ph recommendation for dwc? I thought in dwc u target 5.8ph. Or this something that u change to 6.2 ph in late flower to help with phosphorus uptake? I appreciate the help bro!

Yes, plants still need good amounts of nitrogen during the first 2-3 weeks of flowering. It is a common mistake to switch to bloom as soon as there are only a few pistils in my opinion/experience. I always continue with "grow" for the first 2 weeks of flowering, before changing to half "grow" and half "bloom" for the next10-14 days, before finally switching to straight "bloom" for the final phase through to finish. I also start with a P/K booster around week 2 as well. I have done this for 30+ years and believe it produces the best results for me..........organics in soil.

In a nutshell it’s nutrients burns. If you really want to know why your tips are burning, it’s because the salinity of the soil is to high, turning the osmotic pressure of your medium into an hypertonic condition, the fluids from the plants get sucked out as the pressure is higher on the other side of the cells membrane of the roots. See the Applications here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osmotic_pressure
