lumatek zeus 1000W Pro, 100% light intensity, ph 6.2-5.4, stable watering with stable drainage. Could the problem be the intensity of the light? Should I decrease the intensity to 75%? Thank you in advance.

Your setup with the Umatek Zeus 1000W Pro, stable watering, and pH within the appropriate range sounds well-tailored for plant growth. However, if you're experiencing issues like yellowing leaves and red stems, it might be worth considering the light intensity. Decreasing the light intensity to 75% could be a good experiment. Cannabis plants can be sensitive to intense light, and symptoms like leaf discoloration can sometimes be a response to excessive light. Here's what you can do: Gradual Adjustment: If you decide to lower the intensity, do it gradually. Sudden changes in light intensity can stress the plants. Start by reducing it to 90% for a few days, then 80%, and so on until you reach the desired intensity. Observe Plant Response: Keep a close eye on how the plants respond to the changes in light. If they start showing signs of improvement, you've likely identified the issue. Consider the Stage of Growth: Different stages of plant growth require different light intensities. For flowering, you might not need the full 100% intensity, especially if your plants are showing signs of stress. Check Temperature: High light intensity can sometimes elevate the temperature in the grow area. Ensure that the temperature is within the optimal range for your plants. Adjusting the light intensity is a valid troubleshooting step. Give it a try and see how your plants respond. If the symptoms persist or worsen, there may be other factors at play, and further investigation would be needed.

@Italy_Grower: you does by growing in soil. And you should, because the yellowish leaves means not enough nutrients/nitrogen left underground.

@AutoflowersSuck I've been putting the plants into flower for a week, lowering the brightness to 75% can make them stressed, right?

> Could the problem be the intensity of the light? What's the average PPFD ? > Should I decrease the intensity to 75%? Depends, but you could lower the dosage of nutrients.

Yes, decrease the light. Lower your light distance to the plants and reduce to 50% power. You're just in veg so no need to hammer them with light. 50% power and 18" off the canopy is where i would start. Also be careful of your watering because the first thing that came to my mind was oxygen starved plants. Weed likes a little water, not a lot. Your plants aren't that big yet, so what you see above the soil is whats going to be under the soil. Without a robust root system the water you give will sit in the soil and cut the oxygen supply to the roots. Once your plants become established and are into flower, then you can drench your soil because there will be a root zone big enough to suck up the water and keep the soil airy.
