Death bubba week 10 of bloom, in flush. All pistils were orange but now lots of foxtail are appearing, with bright white pistils. Harvest in 6 days but if new pistils are still white should I wait? Trich cloudy, I am unable to get in close with a lupe to see how much amber.

this depends on how manynew calyxes there are.. except for extreme contexts, i don't think it is worth waiting for small % of improved yield. It also has a negative effect on overall quality, imo, too. The plant is on several different developmental timelines under normal circumstances, now with a new wave og growth WAY after the original growth, i'd assume that create more variance in ripeness throughout the buds. This may or may not matter to some, but i want consistency. So, i generalyl do not wait for a new wave of late pistil growth to ripen. Each to their own. Some genetics are their own animal. I think organoman is on to somethign in regard to the cause of your foxtails. This can be some bad genetics too. it can also be due to weak light if not mistaken? Your plants have extreme fertilizer imbalances and symptoms all over the place, which can't help either. You can always snip off foxtails that aren't fully ripe.. make butter, hash or rosin etc from it.

One hour less if they are photoperiod plants. Reducing the light time will not affect the quality or potency of the already mature flowers.

To stop the foxtailing, reduce your lights on time by 2 hours.

Keep the same schedule. This happens at the end of life with some genetics. It also happens with light stress and heat. Enjoy your harvest!

The foxtail comes from many factors mainly light stress. But yeah they'll look new.. bc they are new. I had the same problem with my Tropicana cookies I just harvested. I focused on the mature part of the buds, and got a rough count of thrichs. Checking the calyxces are also idea. They are the round knot looking thing at the bottom of each bud, it's what holds the bud to the plant and is the most mature and has more thc and terps that anything. Check those and check top bottom and side of plant to get average. Once at your desired color then harvest regardless of foxtail. Goodluck growmie, looking fire. Happy new year man

Don't worry about the foxtailing when judging it's readiness. Base your decision on established buds. The foxtail will obviously look underdone, they're new growth.
