i scavenged some peach seeds out of peaches i picked from an old peach tree planted in my neighbourhood. This particular peach outgrew the others i planted by more than double the size. 2m in 1 year. The weird thing is it still has leaves while its mid winter! How?! Pic is summer

Probably because it is growing next to a wall that reflects heat during the day and radiates heat at night, meaning it is not getting the correct signals that it is winter and might be "thinking" that it is still Fall/Autumn due to the extra warmth.

Possible disease. Sometimes it is recommended to use a spray of urea, which accelerates leaf fall. Sometimes the problem is that the leaves do not fall due to disease and remain dry on the tree. It is part of the survival of germs. Similar to dried fruits after being attacked by monilia. do you have current photo ?
