Oh mate I feel your headfk. I had a jealousy pollinate 3 others but the worse is the not knowing. Like where did the pollen come from (in my case) will more appear, how much is pollinated, what effect on buds, potency , smell, yield etc.
Options:
Kill it. If other plants at risk this could be best.
Let it ride.
Remove pollen source. If a sole nanner and you got it you could be in the clear. If not you won't have many seeds anyway. Plus if it's released pollen and you didn't get it in time then the damage is done with regards to pollinating and you may as well get seeds.
TOP TIP
If you let it ride and accept some seeds then trust me bigger more mature seeds are easier to remove than small underdeveloped ones.
If you have actual balls/pollen sacs then these can do a lot of pollinating. In this case if seeds aren't what you want then killing may be best.
What I found was seeds of varying ages which led me to think that the production of nanners or sacs was a constant thing.
When you say you removed a branch I think that was excessive as just removing the offending nanner/sac would suffice (for that nanner only).
Just be vigilant for anymore appearing.
Signs of pollination are early browning of pistils and only at the tips too. Calyxs swell more also.
In a week or two you'll likely see the extent of any damage. Remove a calyx or two and open to see if any developing seeds are present.
Best of luck with whatever you decide
