Hey guys, quick question. I'm starting to grow again after 4 years and still have my old activated carbon filter. My question is, do these things lose filtering power from just sitting around? The filter was packed in the original box. Can I test it beforehand?

if stored in a dry place, i'd wager it has a good shelf life? worth a google for that sort of simple reference info.
they do lose effectiveness with use.
