Hi, so im starting my 3. grow (autoflower) and would like to test my plants with pgr to get a fat/dence buds. Any Idea??? First i tried 1-Triacontanol = i see a very small difference, but nothing huge. Then i tried Brassinolide 0.15% = the plants was not developing (short plant)

I forget where exactly I read it a few years ago but there was a study on using PGRs. They said that they were able to apply to the plant to even out a canopy but it has a negative effect on the total yield opposed to the control plants. If you’re looking to get bigger buds, opposed to more yield in general you could always just trim the plant to have a few main colas that should be quite beefy.

I don't like PGR's lota negative health effects on humans if not handled correctly. Best to just get better genetics and nurture it.

yeah, if there was a silver bullet out there. No magical product that everyone is missing that can have a profound effect on your plants. Can't polish a turd. Genetics is the cieling for potential... How many colas and light intensity are other factors that we can control. Stick to a little over 2 colas per sq ft and should be good dense nugs all over.. even if not huge, the quality will be top-notch with good DLI levels. Want dense buds, make sure you are giving 35-40 DLI given ambient CO2 conditions. Stop growing autoflowers as they are less consistent. Plant 150% of what you need and cull the weak. That is a huge thing to avoid weak plants. If planting a shit load, less than 150% is probably better, lol.. but whatever is enough to cover defects and slow-growing plants. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7355821/ looks like that stuff is a good tool to manipulate structure of the plant more than anything else. never trust "marijuana" sites with technical/science info.. riddled with bias if there is a product to be sold. Find some edu source or research. Research does not guarantee integrity, either. Always good to read the methedology section. Even professional researchers interject bias on purpose or through accidental incompetence at times. Samples sizes, choices of how they went about testing the hypothesis etc all paint a picture of the level of integrity. saw one research paper recently where the metric to prove the effect was yield, and they didn't give the same DLI to each group of plants... That's a profoundly bad mistake for a PhD to make. Really botched the setup for that experiment. Muddies the water, unnecessarily.

Fat, dense buds are the result of a combination of many, many things. There is no secret, single magical ingredient that will turn ordinary buds into mega buds. Most important is great lighting, superb plant health, top genetics, proper nutrition and a skilled grower. Without these things, average results are to be expected.
