Auto under 12/12 ?

Hey guys, I wanted to start my first round after 4 years with normal feminized seeds. I received a Fast Bud Autoflower as a gift. Does it make sense to include it because of the 12/12 changeover later? Cars like to use 18+ lights.

I'd give the auto a miss this run. It's best to do one type or the other then mixing them up. Go with your photoperiod ones if it's been a while since your last grow to get you back into it.

It won’t get as big as it would under 18 hours but if it’s a free seed and you want to grow it then go ahead. Unless you plan to either get another tent or do an auto flower only run. I’d say f@@k it and do it

The best thing about auto flowers are they can start anytime.. look at my diaries, I started autos because i have flowering amd vegging plants in the same room.. my blueberry kush are 12/12 from seed, the rest are not.. but the bluberry kush is alot more mature.. so go ahead

Auto Flowers actually do best under more light than 12/12. The total amount is up for debate but consensus is 18/6 or more is best. What you can do with it is start the Auto about 6 weeks before your feminized seeds and then you should be under the same light (if you go 18/6 for veg) as your photoperiod start out their first four-five weeks of veg growth. The Auto will finish up just about when it would be the time to start thinking about flipping the feminized photoperiod plants to flower. Hope this helps.

I would hold off, and do a auto run with it after. I don't recommend doing autoflowers in soil either. They tend to do poorly in soil. I would put it in the refrigerator to keep it fresh till next run. 👍🏻

I grew an auto under 12/12 once, it did alright, it could have done better under more light, but it was not terrible ;) keep in mind an auto needs less nutes as well
