Clearing under canopy

Recently installed a scrog net and saw that it made under really dark and some leaves and mini colas. Already got rid of a few leaves and was wondering if I could do the same with the colas that are in the dark. Here’s two that were easier to take photos of.

Hey there, congrats on your first grow! Installing a scrog net can definitely change how light reaches your plants, and it's not uncommon to see some leaves and buds in the lower parts of the canopy getting shaded out. It's totally fine to remove those shaded leaves and mini colas if they're not getting enough light. Just be gentle when you're pruning, and make sure to use clean, sharp scissors to avoid damaging your plant. Removing those shaded parts can actually help your plant focus its energy on the top buds where they'll get the most light and grow bigger. Since you're in the third week of flowering, it's a good time to do a little cleanup anyway. Just make sure not to go overboard and remove too much at once. A little defoliation can help improve airflow and light penetration, which is great for your plant's overall health and bud development. Keep an eye on your plant after pruning to make sure it's recovering well, and you should see those top buds thriving in no time. Happy growing!

Just cut off anything that is is the lower 30 percent of the plant. It won't get enough light to develop and will be popcorn airy buds. I Clea this out about 2 to 3rd week of the stretch.

Yes, remove it. Let "lollipopping" be your friend. Removing small under growth does not make "more energy" available to the rest of the plant. All energy is made by/in the leaves. No energy comes from the roots or anywhere else. Energy is a direct proportion of how many leaves there are, there is no "free" energy waiting around looking for places to go, all energy is divided equally between wherever growth is occurring.

by removing the lowest branches that are not recieving adequate light you will allow for more energy to become available to the main buds above the net Its always best to sacrifice the tiny growth to make the main yield better 👊

Anything that is not reaching the top canopy of the plant is sucking up energy that could be otherwise spent on main bud sites at the top. General rule of thumb is anything under that net that doesn’t receive much light will never amount to much at harvest. Most growers will fill that scrog net with as many branches as possible and weave them in and out till it is full then start flower. When done right the entire thing is even and so full no light penetrates down. I hope this helps.

Efectivamente elimina hojas y brotes bajos ya que estos quitan energía a la planta. Con este procedimiento la planta concentrará si energía en las puntas generando collos más grandes.

I remove quite a lot of lower growth. Bits that aren't getting light and won't get any light I get rid of. Some say leave it alone. My thoughts are it's just waisting energy on the lower growth.
