EC Levels in coco throughout grow

Hello growers hope everything is good in the garden. I grow in coco and I've become aware of EC and how some strains need different levels of EC. I use Plagron nuits and their feed schedule suggests 2.4 in late flower. Is this too high? Thank you in advance

Just use the charts as a guide on what to use when but the amount should be changed depending on what the plants tell you. If your tips are burnt then that tells you she’s been overfed. If she’s light green/ yellow then she’s hungry. There is more to it than that but it’s a lot about balance and ratios. The schedule you have is simple enough. I am using green sensation at 0.5-1 ml/l atm. I have used the other stuff too. I’m impressed with the green sensation. Don’t think the power buds did much tho

Thats not true buddy in my experience. any strain can grow at pretty much any ec though the results will vary. EC like the other growers have said is just a guide but the feed table I would suggest is a bit more than a guide depending on which brand you go for some are ph stable and will keep the ec levels low not exceeding 3.0 though other nutrient companies that use mainly mineral nutrients will be very high ec for example I think athena nutrients use a very high ec like 4+ the feed table that comes with your nutrients has been painstakley tested by the nutrient company on a cannabis plant. they have grew hundreds if not more plants testing and seeing what works best for their needs and their products. 2.4 is not high for late flower in my opinion I think thats quite average for plagron which uses both mineral and organic compounds in their feeds depending on which one you go for. I use genoneeleven nutrients have done for almost 4 years and I follow the feed table religiously. Though this is just my opinion.

Hi, as usual I go against the grain. Plants are kind of pumps, if they need more water they will also absorb more nutrients and vice versa. The advice you find regarding the EC is always related to a specific situation VPD (Calculated via temperature and humidity) I advise you rather to adjust the nutrients based on the EC of the soil (If it drops it means that the plants want more, if it raise they want less), with this technique in the last 3 grow I have avoided deficiencies and toxicity. Good luck :)

If you are keeping it wet no. I am running a 4 ec on a coco grow for a adult plant. It can tolerate higher levels as long as it stays wet but not sitting in run off.
