use a magnifying glass or something... trichomes are a good way to be consistent. density of nugs pistil coloration trichomes.. how much amber? mostly cloudy? etc... each to their own on ripeness. you should test early-to-late window for yourself.

You gotta pretty girl there. She's looking close to ready but to really know for certain you need to look at the trichomes on the buds under some kind of magnification: magnifying glass, jewelers lope, digital microscope, etc. You're looking for majority cloudy trichomes. Clear means under "ripe" amber means over. You'll see a mix.
