Defoliate week 8 flower

I'm week 8 or flowering and my tent is edge to edge plant. I know defoliating at this stage may not be the best, but when a plant completely outgrows its space I'm wondering if I should do to improve ventilation. I'll take this to 10 weeks flowering, what recommendations if any

Hello, Yes, you need to defoliate and you can. She looks healthy so the defoliation will not be that hard on her but do it in little steps like 2-4 defoliations and not one big one. You can also see that the leafs below are yellowing which is not a nutrient deficiency but they don't get any light or just a little bit. But it seems a bit late to get all of that off. This will mostly be leafy/popcorn budds which you can turn in to some hash or other concentrates or also smoke. Also one more fan would not hurt, don't even see the one that is in. 1 or 2 below the canape and 1 (osciliating or not) above that sould give you a nice air circulation. For the lower fans to work though you need to clear the lower parts out so the air can move and you won't get bud rot or powdery mildew because of the water which is staying on your leafs on the inside of you plant. Hope this helps.

Adding more fans for better airflow would also be less stressfull for your plant than defoliating. Just make sure to get some kind of airflow trough the dense center

I would defenitly defoliate a bit, the plant is extremly dense and the risk of bud rot will rise in this condition. You could also improve the airflow by adding more fans below the canopy level.
