Whats your opinion in topping or lollipopping automatics? Have mine outdoor. Some say just let them grow as they are. But for example basementganja on YT goes pretty crazy with topping his Autos. I know they are to young yet. Just want to know in general.

Personally, I would never top an auto again, going on past experience. Lollipopping once flowering is beginning is a great idea though. Autos with their limited veg time don't need anything that is going to slow them down,,,,,,,,,which is exactly what topping does, it slows them down. Why not top one and compare it to the un-topped plants and find out for yourself what works or doesn't work for you?

It depends. In general, I would not top automatics outdoors, as it is already exposed to more stress outdoors than indoors and this will probably lead to a reduced harvest. However, if it is a genetics whose height you definitely have to limit or you know that the genetics tolerate topping well, then again it is not a problem. If the height of the plant is not a problem, I would only use LST to fan out the plant to increase the yield without stressing it unnecessarily.

NO! Even Less when you have them Outdoor...most i would to to my Outdoor Autos would be a bit LST. You dont Control the Environment Outdoors... every Stress you give them makes them Weaker for a Time and if the Elements dont play along in this time...well good luck. The Plants grow in Nature like they do for a reason... Just let her Grow and see what happens or just try on one of them and compare. There is absolutely no need to do any of this if you are new Grower.

How confident are you in your grow techniques? If you don't expect any problems, give it a try. If you're new to growing and think you might have issues along the way I'd probably save it for another attempt. Autos don't offer the rebound time that a photoperiod plant can.

Totally up to you - Personally, I don't top autos as I find it puts too much stress on the plant. Autoflowers run on an internal clock, so there's very little wiggle-room in terms of recovering from stress. It might also increase the chance of developing nanners. Photoperiods on the other hand have the luxury of more time to recover + ability to control when to flip to flower. Just my two cents!
