Looks a lot like Atractomorpha similis or Vegetable Grasshopper or Northern Grass Pyrgomorph
If you see it eating shit or laying eggs might want to get rid of it.
Wikipedia said is it a pest is the garden as it eats leaves and is prominent in Australia and some of the Asia's.

Predator related to praying mantis.........absolute carnivore and it won't eat leaves or buds.

Its a grasshopper (looks like one from europe through) they like to eat bugs. But they also eat leaves if there are no bugs
