First outdoor photo (Erdpurt fem, AceSeeds) - How much does the darkness needed to flower vary between strains? - Will she only flip to flowering once the daylight hits 12h in mid/late September (Northen Europe)? - Any factors other than light that affects flowering? Thank you

12-12 is the cycle for flowering , its for all strains the same BUT Indica dominant types can and will flower at 15 hours light ... she will begin to flower in the end of august(NE).. but you can also put her in the dark (in a spare room somewhere or closet) for 12h pd when you think its time! (is what i always do when i grow pfotoperiod outside, (worx great) GL!

Hello MumbaTuu, In between 10 and 12 hours dark will trigger the flowering phase. I am from the Netherlands and usually start flowering start of September and Harvest around end of October. I do own a greenhouse what makes it a lot better to prevent mold in rainy and cold weather. In my opinion an autoflower in the months June, July and August is the best option for our climate. Happy Growing Buddy! 💚

Outdoors, typically the steady decreasing of daylight is enough without dropping to a 12/12 cycle. The solstice was only about a week or two ago so that process has just begun. Where I live, most strains that I've grown start flowering by the end of July/beginning of August when there's still about 14.5 hours of light. It will vary some by strain though.

some needed 16 only to heavily strech and flower 15, some needed real 12 hours of darkness, depends on strain. i would say 13-14 for most. keep in mind light polution from house !
