100% pure female calyx, nothing male/hermie about it.
A calyx is one of many tiny individual flowers that grow together to form buds/colas.
The hairs/threads, known as "pistils" are to catch male pollen for seed fertilization.
The single calyxes along the stems are known as "pre-flowers" and happen when the plant enters puberty and are a sign of the plants' sex.
Because they appear earlier than the actual flowers, they get old and swollen and this is why they can look so round and large.
If you are keen, go to week 7 in my diary "cannabis conundrums" and I have posted pictures of male and female flowers, as well as hermie flowers and some other weird stuff, and these pictures may help you to identify any questions you might have in the future.
