Why defoliate............what for?
Just remember.............less leaves = less energy being made = less potential growth.
Your plant needs every leaf that it has, to make the energy required to grow her biggest flowers.
Maximum amount of leaves = maximum amount of energy production = maximum growth.
It is that simple.
Besides, if your plant would not NEED those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place!
