To harvest or not to harvest

Can't see any brown trichomes on my Sherbet and Timanfaya. I have grown them outdoors for 15 weeks now and I'm hesitant to harvest because I can't see any brown trichomes under the magnifying glass. Could you have a look at my plants and tell me what you think. THX in advance

Hello HerrTom, Usually I tell people to wait till 10% is amber. This is a great way to tell a beginner the aproximate time to harvest. But what you really want is as many trichomes milky white. The best would be 100% milky white because clear as glass means not developped yet and amber means that you are too late. So what I try to tell you is, check if most trichomes are milky white. Not clear as glass and not amber. Then it is the right time for harvest. When I look at your plant I would say that it is about time. Happy Harvest Buddy! 💚

Hey, when no new pistils are forming anymore or at least 95% of the pistils are brown, you can be sure that your plant is definitely not growing anymore and is in the maturing stage. When your trichomes are mainly milky and a few are amber, you can harvest well. Of course, you can also harvest now, but then you'll lose in quantity and effect. I would wait until a few trichomes turn amber, then you can be sure that most of the other trichomes are milky and have the perfect effect. Right now, there are probably still many glassy ones and therefore less potent. I estimate about 5 more days, then you'll be at a good point.
