So your light is gonna be one of your biggest factors in dictating your yield. If there's one area not to skimp, it's the light. Get the biggest(true watt draw) that will fit in your grow space that you can afford. Even with a powerful light though, be prepared to train your plants to grow more horizontally to keep most of your budsites in your optimal light regions.
If growing in soil or coco, don't use plastic or terracotta pots, get fabric pots. Plants grown in fabric pots don't get root bound, the roots air prune when they grow through. You don't really want to transplant out of them, it's possible but more difficult than other types of pots. Personally I think hydro gets better results with autos.
