What do the pros say? Ready for harvest? A few days until the new moon.

Hey, not sure what the moon phase contributes to the quality of your weed. It would definitely make a good topic for esoteric fairs, okay jokes aside. It kind of depends on what effect you're hoping for; young cannabis buds have hardly any noticeable effect, but when they mature and the trichomes turn milky, we can expect a heady high from consumption, which is more or less the maturity level I can see in your pictures. If the plant can continue to mature, the trichomes will slowly turn amber until they eventually become brown. The discoloration, as far as I know, comes from the conversion of THC(a) to cannabidiol and other substances. The darker the trichomes get, the more stoned you can expect to be from consumption. https://pevgrow.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2100/12/colors-of-trichomes-and-their-maturation.jpg The website has some good pictures for visualization. As far as I can see, the general consensus is to harvest when there are between 10-30 percent amber trichomes to achieve a good balanced effect. Personally, I would give the plant another two to three weeks. Of course, make sure to check the trichomes daily and then flush depending on the substrate. Soil takes about a week to be flushed, living soil you can hardly flush, and coco needs 1-2 days. Good luck :)

I'd say about 2 weeks away. Pistils haven't started shrinking/curling and I can see a lot of clear trichomes.

If you look at the trichomes, you can actually see that they still all look very glassy clear, even though there are already a few amber ones in there. I think I would wait another 1-2 weeks.

Yes. I would wait a few more days to have at least 50% amber trichomes.....then it also depends on personal taste.
