no, looks fine. in this state with enough soil you won´t need anything else then water and sun :)

Could be too much light. I start my seedling in light with low fertilizer level. And this is the normal appearance. Even when I add more earth worm casting, plant still look like it lag cal-mag. After it got bigger, I change pot and soil with more fertilize and move it out side. I also spray cal mag. Plants looks normal. In short, young plants looking pale is okay. If you want to use bottle water, try mineral water. If you area has water with high pH, even better, pour the well water to the leaves. Organic living soil tends to be a bit sour anyway. High pH water ususally provides extra calcium and balances out the acidic content in the soil.

Looks fine, a plant that size/age in quality soil can not have any deficiencies unless something is very, very wrong. Next time, tell your friend to fill the pot right up with soil......more soil = more roots = more plant = faster growth. No point growing in a pot with the tide out!
