Is it a faulty kernel or am I messing something up?

This is the second seedling I have visited. Own seeds of the Jack Herer variety. 22-28°c 40-50% Humidity Plagron light mix There was also a seed that sprouted without any problems

Unfortunately, not all seeds make it. Seeds are organic biological beings with random success rates.............sometimes there are duds.

The first pic looks like it might be a bad seed or maybe a bit too wet. When a seedling/ gets dampened off it will go pale, then slimy, then mush.
