Sorry for posting again but there was gap - I thought about autos, not fotoperiod What would happen if changing light cycle 18/6 to 3x(6/2) or even 4x(5/1) for Autoflowers. Anyone try/hear? articles?

I have heard of it, knew of someone who tired it but can remember outcome it was not important for me to remember. Better question is, why do you want to try this?? what do you think you will gain out of it? I don't think its going to do much of anything in terms of a positive outcome but maybe have a bit of negatives. That style of light cycle just does not exist in nature. But go ahead and try it out on a bunch of clones of the same plant and then grow it out with normal light schedule and see if their is any diffrences in the small smaple.

I don't think 1-2 hours of dark every 5-6 hours is enough. I Autos should get a minimum of 4 straight hours of dark. There's processing cannabis plants go through during lights out, giving them little dark periods won't allow them to go through those processes.

The only possible reason I could see doing this would be for heat management. Some timers wouldn't even be able to manage it, analog timers would but the built in timer on my light only has a single on and off time. Doing this will likely affect transpiration some but I don't think anything catastrophic will happen.

Well I answered last limelight cause stress but most likely the plant would survive. Would be a cool experiment. I'd like to know the outcome if you do an experiment
