So got a phone call last night. With a ?? I wasn’t sure how to answer! Grow buddy was starting RQSxTyson Jawbreaker. Who accidentally dropped water on the seed he WAS NOT TRYING TO START. He screwed up???

Ah, the old "..asking for a friend". Your friend might have screwed up yes. If they are lucky, and dried off the seed asap, germination might not have been triggered. Store in a dry and dark place and check it every few hours. If the seed cracks open, he can chose to continue with germination. If it doesn't crack open within the next 76hours, he can try to germinate it at a later time. It's not a failsafe method as the seed may have started germination but didn't get far enough to crack open the shell. And the seedling will have died making it impossible to germinate further.

When you drop water on a plant seed, it starts the process of germination. That's the fancy word for when a seed starts to sprout and grow into a plant. The water is really important because it activates the seed and gets it ready to start growing. Once you water a seed, it's going to start the germination process. That means it won't stay dormant anymore, so you wouldn't want to store it. If you try to dry it out to stop the process, the seed probably won't survive. It's best to plant the seed in some soil after you water it.

Yeah if you dropped water on the seed I would not try and keep it for storage I would just try and pop the
