Plant Mutation - kill or grow?

Think its called self topping. I would keep going. but what other have said about growing multiples and thinning out the pack is a good idea if you can afford it. Seeds are stupid expensive for what they are.

Hello mate, why kill it? the plant probably was stressed and it showed this mutation. I can not be sure with only this photo but i think she manifest fasciation. This mutation normally give on the branches with this condition a different shape, they lost the standard simmetrical geometry filing up of buds all around the branch. I would never have waited 2 weeks for leaves to grow and pulled it out long before it got this size............however, now that it is this big, you may as well keep growing and loving this seedling. Personally, I am not a fan of any sort of "mutation" or weirdness and am ruthless with culling any seedlings that don't meeet my extremely high expectations. I also grow 30-40 seedlings and then pick the best 10-12 to grow through to maturity. Like I said, I have high standards and am wanting minimal risk with plants, so this is my method. Wasteful perhaps, but I do not ever grow "maybes" any more. I have grown too many "maybes" over the last 40 years to know that most turn out disappointing and end up being a waste of time, effort and space.

Yes, sometimes the small plants or what I like to call dwarf plants produce some of the best buds ever. Yes you have to care for them a little more but occasionally they are slightly mutated and I've gotten some killer smoke. Be nice. Give her love and about half nutrients. You got this bro. There is absolute now issue bro, every plant is a beautiful an individual on its in no reason to worry for your grow. It’s simply nature :) Happy Growing Buddy.

Almost in every my grow i have a plant or few with triple or even 4 branches out from same level. Never an issue, always more productive than rest.

I've always felt if I have the space I let it grow. I get some every now and then but it's always wild seeing what it'll do. Happy

Some people don’t like to take chances with plants with strange growth or mutations. Personally I like to see what surprises are in store. Could grow something awesome. It’s all upto you

Most likely stress... Could be heat, humidity, over watering or fungus gnats to name a few. I would go through your process and try self identifying the culprit, then work to fix it You are the eyes on the ground. Learning is fun. Good luck
