Automatics are fed according to the same schedule.
Also, the schedule is a guideline not a direct how-to. The listings are their recommendations based off what keeps the soil optimal over time.
Always listen to your plant first. If she wants more or less of a nutrient, give it to her.
...definately be prepared for the gradual increases they recommend. They are pretty spot on with their timing 😅
