soil food web is equivalent to living soil
at the end of the day, living soil means feeding and maintaining a microbiome in the soil which breaks down non-available minerals and salts and nutrients into available forms for cannabis (when done right, you're simply feeding the soil sugars and maybe amending the soil with specific ingredients or microbe boosters)
there is a ton of information on this but it contradicts everything about chelated salts, specifically off-handed versions (which are incompatible with microbial life and in nearly all cases kill it)
hemp research has shown some truly absurd observations with living soil - no pesticides required ever when done right, no additional or synthetic inputs when done right, root zones even perform well into the 100 degree plus F range when done right...…..not only that but if you can ever find someone with a 15 or 20 year old living soil bed or a company that does living soil right, you'll quickly see that the only grows pulling 4%+ mass on terpenes alone are living soil....the only grow I have ever seen with lab results over 50% cannabinoids and terpenes was living soil.
got a lot of people that swear by yeasts and teas and composts and worm castings and blah blah blah (not hating, just not making it complicated)
all you really need for A1 top shelf living soil is some foxfarm ocean forest (observe before using and know/trust where it has been sitting or quarantine), Recharge, and Great White....thats it...want to get stupid crazy with it grab some foop sweetener. that is all. i'd mix some perlite or something in there, and use a mulch layer
if you flush be prepared for your flushing activities to be 4-5 times longer considering micorbial life will continue to provide food for approx 3 weeks in the soil alone
aanyway, alot to discuss here
