If you have a look into my laughing Buddha diary (week 9), you'll find a description of my strategy and maybe someone can give me any advice what I can optimize.

Nematodes : Steinernema sp. is extremely efficient towards fungus gnats and as the 2 other guys says, use the yellow or blue sticky traps to catch excisting bugs, while the nematodes eats the eggs and larvae. I had an big infestation a month back, sorted it with sticky traps and nematodes. None survived.

Bti or nematodes are the best choices, if you keep a good watering habits and you use sticky traps you will reduce dramatically the population

Hi, so I fight them in two ways. One is with yellow sticky boards. The adult mosquitoes stick to them. It also helps against fungus gnats. The other thing I always do is buy nematodes, which are also available on Amazon. You add them to the soil with water, and they eat the mosquito eggs and larvae. It works very well. The exact species used for fungus gnats is called Steinernema feltiae. No more problems. You can also order the adhesives on Amazon. You can also see them in my diaries.
