Flower Stretch

Nice one. ;-) I asked a similar question today (AI). Result (AI! Not mine, not experience). I never documented the stretch, because it was somehow manageable with light/distance/lst. So results for stretch categories: High x2-x3 Moderate x1.5 - x2 Low x1.2-x1.5 Well, it's an "overall" estimated value. Not sure if they mean moderate stretch for all or moderate stretch for sativa. Perhaps you can add .5 or so, if it is so specific.

I’d say some plants will strech about a foot and some will strech like 2.5 feet make sure to leave room in the tent If the plants start to go crazy in the strech and there several inches between internodes you can turn up the light some and make the plant grow more compact but there is definitely a limit to that I personally like to lower the amount of light during the stretch so the plants will grow tall and vigorously they make more bud sites that way. When you see people grow what looks like a little bush and there is like 3 or 4 big buds on the top the plant and that all there is they turned there lights up high durring the strech and all the bud sites got crammed into one big bud on each branch but they have a lot less bud sites compared if u lowered the light just a little and make the internodes between bud sites an inch or 2 If the light is really high it will only strech a few inches like those bushes I was talking about It’s something you have to experiment with your lights It’s even hard to tell someone the amount of umol’s todo at certin stages cause all environments are different 2 people could have the same grow light and one be in a tent and one not and it make plants grow completely different when reading the same umol’s from the top of the plants Sorry it’s really a hard thing to explain you will learn after your plant goes thru a strech just remember in the future your plants will not always preform the same genetics and lighting have a lot a lot a lot todo with how a plant does in the strech Make sure you don’t cut off any parts of the plant that branch out until about day 21 or so after you flip the plants into flower at day 21 you can evaluate what the plant looks like a cut off any fan leaves or branches at that point you your goal of defoliating at that point is get as many bud sites that will get a decent amount of light and cut off any super small stuff at the bottom and a few fan leaves you can always cut more fan leaves later if needed just don’t cut to many at one time and stress it out

the plants will stretch anywhere from 100x so double its size to 200-300x its size. i would just plan for double its size like you have. moderate would mean nothing super crazy like 3x its size but maybe half its size to double its size. if your plant is 1 foot then it will be 1.5 to 2 feet after a moderate to double
