When should I collect pollen from a male?

Soon as the pollen sacs color starts to lighten up you will see the pollen sacs start to pop open like a small flower Soon as the pollen sacs start todo this then if your only collecting a few pollen sacs you can just pluck them off gently and then tap the pollen out of the few pollen sacs Now if your collecting a large amount of pollen with a ton of pollen sacs all over the plant then I would wait till there is 1st signs of the pollen sacs being ripe and soon as you start to see dropping some yellow powder here and there usually you will see the pollen powder sitting on leaves below pollen sacs after seeing this you can get a small trash bag or a Kroger bag and then tilt the plant sideways and put the bag over it and lightly shake around the branch’s till all the lose pollen sacs fall into the bag. Usually not all the pollen on 1 plant will be ripe at the same time so you might have to harvest the pollen from 1 plant a few times over a 2 week period I don’t even try and get the pollen sacs out if the pollen after collecting When using the pollen I never put a brush down into the large bag of pollen I will pour some pollen out in a bowl or something and then use a makeup brush to dab some pollen and use it on some flowers
